About the job

Based at Mandarin Oriental Punta Negra, Mallorca, as the Houseperson, you will be responsible for assisting in the distribution of housekeeping supplies, ensuring room attendants have everything needed for their tasks.

As Houseperson, you will be responsible for the following duties:

  • To assist in the distribution of housekeeping supplies, ensuring room attendants have everything needed for their tasks 
  • To transport linens, towels, and cleaning materials between storage areas and guest floors.  
  • To collect and deliver guest laundry, coordinating with the laundry department. 
  • To assist with moving furniture and deep-cleaning projects, including setting up extra beds or cribs in rooms. 
  • To remove used linens and waste from guest rooms and service areas, ensuring a clean working environment. 
  • To handle special housekeeping requests, such as additional amenities or urgent room servicing. 
  • To follow hotel safety protocols, ensuring compliance with hygiene and sanitation standards.  
  • To respect guest privacy, following the "Do Not Disturb" policy and handling guest belongings with care. 
  • To use cleaning supplies responsibly, adhering to sustainability and cost-control measures. 
  • To perform any other reasonable duties as required by the Executive Housekeeper.   
  • Contribute to the hotel’s sustainability initiatives by ensuring the proper separation and handling of waste, and by supporting the established environmental policies.

As Houseperson, we expect from you: 

Experience and education

  • Previous experience in the same role is preferred. 

Technical Skills

  • Willingness and flexibility to work in shifts (day, afternoon, and night).   
  • Basic communication skills in Spanish and English.  
  • Professional appearance, adhering to hotel grooming standards.
