The IT Assistant will report to the IT Manager / Assistant IT Director.
Duties and Supporting Responsibilities
IT Support Management
Serve as first line support for guest and hotel colleagues
Perform daily system maintenance work to provide a robust and stable IT system
Perform IT maintenance tasks on end points, IT infrastructure, telecommunication technologies, hotel operation applications
Provide support for meetings and conventions in the hotel
Provide training and guidance for IT specialist to perform daily work
Cybersecurity and Compliance Management
Perform daily information security tasks as required
Follow up vulnerability findings and rectify the issues
Replace or upgrade end of life technology and ensure all EOL technologies are upgraded/replaced before the expiration date
Manage end point protection tools and ensure all agents are installed and security controls are enforced
Project Management
Follow up assigned project tasks and ensure it is completed on time
Attend project meetings and report task status
Requirements
Mandatory
Two years internal IT Specialist experience or three years IT Specialist position within hospitality
Experience with supporting Windows based server and desktop platform
Experience with supporting LAN and WLAN environment
Ability to have effective verbal and written communications, at least can read and write in English
Ability to pay attention to the details
Ability to work out of normal business hours when necessary
Ability to work with minimal supervision but also work well with teams
Ability to manage time properly and complete tasks on time
Has customer centric mindset and ability to support guest as needed
Bilingual in Japanese and English
Desirable
Knowledge of the technology used in hospitality industry is preferred
Strong problem solving and analytic skills
Ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure
Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness and monitors own work to ensure quality
