We are looking for a Kitchen Trainee - Fine Dining to join our Orsini Team at Mandarin Oriental Savoy, Zurich.

About the job

Based at the Mandarin Oriental Savoy, Zurich within the Culinary Department in Zurich, the Kitchen Trainee - Fine Dining is responsible for state-of-the-art culinary experiences. The Kitchen Trainee - Fine Dining reports to the Orsini Kitchen Team.

Starting date May 2026.

As Kitchen Trainee - Fine Dining, you will be responsible for the following tasks:

  • Supporting the kitchen team in all daily kitchen tasks for all F&B outlets
  • Assisting in the production of the entire mise en place in various positions (e.g. saucier, entremetier, gardemanger)
  • Compliance with all guidelines and proper storage of all foodstuffs 
  • Compliance and control with the specified stock levels and ensuring proper storage

As Kitchen Trainee - Fine Dining, we expect from you:

  • Enrolled as a student in a Swiss Hotel Management school
  • Flexibility and ability to work under pressure - your position will include weekend and holiday shifts 
  • Good communication skills, teamwork, reliability and cooking enthusiast
  • High level of commitment and high quality awareness
  • Very good English knowledge. Further foreign language skills are an advantage
