About the job

Based at the Emirates palace Mandarin Oriental, Abu Dhabi within the Rooms Division, the Operational Support Executive plays a key role in supporting and coordinating the daily functions of Front Office, Concierge, Guest Relations, and Housekeeping. The position is rotational and developmental in nature, providing hands-on exposure to luxury hospitality service standards, guest interaction, and overall room operations.

The role focuses on ensuring seamless guest experiences through proactive coordination, effective communication, and active engagement across departments. The incumbent supports daily operational requirements such as guest arrivals and departures, luggage and transport coordination, lobby presentation, and prompt response to guest requests, ensuring the highest levels of service excellence and attention to detail. The Operational Support Executive reports to the Front Office Manager/ Director of Rooms.

As an Operational Support Executive, you will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Welcome and engage guests with genuine warmth, ensuring every interaction reflects the hotel’s service excellence and hospitality standards.
  • Support guest arrivals and departures, including check-ins, check-outs, and room orientations to ensure a seamless experience.
  • Assist in coordinating luggage handling, transport arrangements, and guest amenities in collaboration with Concierge and Housekeeping.
  • Maintain an active presence in public areas to ensure cleanliness, presentation, and guest service standards are upheld.
  • Liaise with Housekeeping and other departments to confirm room readiness and promptly address guest requests or service opportunities.
  • Communicate effectively across departments to ensure smooth coordination and timely follow-up on guest requirements.
  • Demonstrate flexibility by supporting various operational areas such as Front Office, Concierge, Guest Relations, and Housekeeping as assigned.
  • Perform shift duties and maintain flexibility with working hours in line with operational requirements.

As an Operational Support Executive, we expect from you: 

  • A Diploma or bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, Tourism, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Prior exposure or internship experience in hotel operations, guest services, or customer-facing roles within the hospitality industry, resort experience will be a plus.
  • A strong interest in developing a career in hotel operations, with a passion for luxury service and guest engagement.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently and professionally with guests and colleagues.
  • Fluency in English and Arabic is preferred; additional languages are an advantage.
  • A positive attitude, adaptability, and willingness to rotate across different operational departments within the Rooms Division.
  • High attention to detail, presentation, and grooming standards consistent with luxury hospitality expectations.
  • Team-oriented mindset with reliability, accountability, and a proactive learning approach.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and shifts in line with operational requirements.
