About the job

Based at the Mandarin Oriental, Milan within the People & Culture Department in Milan, the P&C Intern is responsible for supporting the People & Culture team in delivering HR operations, and colleague engagement initiatives, contributing to a positive colleague experience in line with Mandarin Oriental standards. The P&C Intern reports to the P&C Manager.

As People & Culture Intern, you will be responsible for the following duties:

  • To support the recruitment and onboarding process for interns and line staff, including pre-screening, interview coordination, and documentation
  • To assist in maintaining accurate staff records and databases
  • To support onboarding processes, ensuring all documentation and welcome materials are prepared
  • To assist in internship lifecycle management, including follow-up and offboarding processes
  • To support internal communication initiatives, including preparation of colleague-facing materials
  • To assist in the organisation of colleague events, engagement activities, and internal campaigns
  • To support preparation of content such as menus, announcements, or visual materials for internal communication channels
  • To assist with general P&C administration, filing, and documentation
  • To support reporting and tracking of People & Culture activities
  • To collaborate with other departments to support People & Culture initiatives
  • To carry out any additional duties as required to support departmental needs

As People & Culture Intern, we expect from you: 

  • To be currently studying or recently graduated in Human Resources, Psychology, Business Administration, Hospitality, or a related field
  • To communicate effectively in both English and Italian, written and verbal
  • To demonstrate a strong interest in Human Resources, employee engagement, and organisational culture
  • To exhibit a proactive, professional, and team-oriented approach
  • To show strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • To demonstrate organisational skills and attention to detail
  • To be able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • To maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times
  • To comply with MOHG Pillars, LQEs, and Guiding Principles

Position Details:

  • Internship - 6 months

  • 500€ - 600€ pocket money
