About the job

Based at the Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong within People & Culture Department in Hong Kong, P&C Officer – Colleague Engagement plays a pivotal role in shaping our internal culture. You will be the driving force behind our colleague engagement initiatives, internal communications, and creative projects that celebrate our #MOfamily. This position reports to the People & Culture Manager – Colleague Engagement.

As P&C Officer – Colleague Engagement, you will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute colleague engagement activities, including seasonal celebrations (e.g., Chinese New Year, Christmas), recognition events, and wellness initiatives.
  • Support the organisation of the annual Colleague Party and other milestone celebrations.
  • Manage internal communication channels (e.g., Beekeeper, noticeboards, email campaigns) to ensure timely and engaging updates.
  • Draft internal memos, digital newsletters, and campaign copy in English, Traditional Chinese, and Mandarin.
  • Maintain accurate records of engagement activities and budgets.
  • Coordinate logistics for internal events, including vendor liaison and venue setup.
  • Support the P&C team with ad-hoc projects and administrative tasks as required.

As P&C Officer – Colleague Engagement, we expect from you:

  • Degree holder in Communications, Marketing, Hospitality Management, Human Resources, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience​ in events management, internal communications, or a similar role (hospitality background is a plus).
  • Excellent command of English, Cantonese, and Mandarin​ (written and spoken) – you will be crafting messages for diverse audiences daily.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); hands-on experience with Adobe Photoshop​ or similar graphic design tools is highly desirable.
  • Creative flair with a keen eye for detail and visual aesthetics.
  • Strong organisational and multitasking skills; able to manage multiple deadlines.
  • Approachable, proactive, and a true team player with a “can-do” attitude.
