About the job


Based at Mandarin Oriental, Doha within the People & Culture Department in Doha, the  People Services Officer is responsible for ensuring comprehensive and complete coverage of own sales portfolio, covering all levels of accounts and all revenue streams within the account for a comprehensive client servicing, achieving targets and maximum productivity. Manages activities related to the sales functions with a focus on building long-term, value-based customer relationships that enable achievement of property sales objectives. Achieves personal booking goals and makes recommendations on booking goals. Track record in exceeding targets with the ability to identify, implement and execute sales strategies and account plans. The  People Services Officer reports to the Assistant People Services Manager.

As People Services Officer, you will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Respond to any changes in the department as dictated by the needs of the industry, company or hotel.
  • Ensure that all colleagues are always treated fairly and consistently.
  • Create and maintain a great synergy between housing and colleagues to assure maximum efficiency.
  • Ensure proper care, security and maintenance of all hotel equipment through attentive supervision.
  • Constantly identify areas for improvement in housing by reviewing various reports, colleague’s feedback, incident reports, and reporting to Assistant People Services Manager.
  • Welcome new colleagues and prepare their respective accommodation with the standard welcome pack.
  • Conduct regular inventories in the apartments and specific inventories for resigned/terminated colleagues before sending to Assistant People Services Manager for approving their Exit Clearance.
  • Maintain proper par stock of all items and inventories.

As People Services Officer, we expect from you: 

  • Degree or Higher National Diploma equivalent in Hospitality/Hotel/Business Management or Human Resources
  • Minimum six months experience working in a 5-star hotel environment preferred
  • Fluent verbal and written English Skills
  • Able to write concise and pleasant communications – emails / notices
