About the job
Based at the Mandarin Oriental Vienna within the Engineering Department in Vienna, the Personal Assistant to Director of Engineering is responsible for various duties. The Assistant to Director of Engineering reports to the Director of Engineering.
As a Personal Assistant to Director of Engineering, you will be responsible for the following duties:
• Management of all repair and maintenance work through the computer-based maintenance management system, as well as daily meetings with the technical management.
• Taking a leading role in setting and ensuring department-specific goals and coordinating the operational activities of all trades.
• Creation of duty and vacation schedules.
• Responsible for the work performed and tracking all technical issues in the logbook.
• Conducting monthly inspections of the entire hotel.
• Participation in the emergency team and follow-up on operational and technical matters of the emergency procedures.
• Maintaining records, reports, and documentation related to water treatment.
• Creation of internal or external training programs.
• Maintaining relationships with local authorities.
• Supporting the creation of preventive budgets and consumption goals.
• Ensuring correct procedures for the installation and maintenance of equipment and installations in compliance with local regulations and company standards.
• Supporting and controlling the creation of repair and maintenance equipment budgets.
• Supporting and controlling the conclusion of agreements for external services.
• Ensuring that all procurements are carried out in accordance with the relevant principles and procedures.
• Assisting the Director of Engineering in the development and implementation of facility and investment plans.
• Ensuring compliance with all inventory records and minimum stock levels.
• Contributing ideas to solve operational problems within the technical department.
• Maintaining good relationships with guests, departments, and technicians through excellent LQE skills.

Our commitment to you:
The collective minimum gross monthly salary for this position is €2.178,00. There is a willingness to offer a higher salary depending on qualifications and work experience.
