About the job

Based at the Mandarin Oriental, Shenzhen within the Rooms Division in Shenzhen, the Public Area Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the public area and administering supervision for all public area cleaners and ensures high standards of cleanliness of all public areas including back of the house area. The Public Area Supervisor reports to the Public Area Manager.

As Public Area Supervisor, you will be responsible for the following duties:

• Prepare public area cleaner daily work assignment
• Provide on-the-job training
• Ensure washroom cleanliness, hygiene and supplies such as soap, towels and toilet paper are properly replenished by staff according to the hotel standards
• Conduct monthly machinery inventory to ensure all equipment are in good condition and working order
• Carry out routine daily inspection, noting deficiencies and ensuring proper follow-up produces. To ensure all work orders are handled in a timely manner
• Follow up on all guest requests and provide prompt service with minimum delay during midnight

As Public Area Supervisor, we expect from you: 

• Minimum 3 years’ relevant working experience in similar capacity
• Excellent communication and organization skills
