Based in Hong Kong, within the Finance function, the Regional Manager, Finance Process plays a key role in Mandarin Oriental’s Finance Transformation journey. This role is responsible for managing hotel transition projects, supporting the migration of finance business processes to a centralised and standardised operating model. The position works closely with the Programme Lead, Senior Manager – Finance Projects, Hotel Finance teams and external service providers.
As Regional Manager, Finance Process, you will be responsible for the following duties:
Act as an advocate of Finance Transformation, clearly articulating the objectives, approach and benefits of the target operating model to hotel teams
Manage assigned hotel transition projects in line with the agreed transition plan, providing regular updates to hotels and internal stakeholders
Serve as the main point of contact for hotels and service providers throughout the transition lifecycle
Support local scoping and knowledge transfer activities, including preparation of FTE requirements, SOPs, process maps, KPIs and metrics
Drive process standardisation, documentation and continuous improvement across assigned hotels
Identify gaps between global standard processes and local hotel practices; agree local exceptions and support remediation plans with Global Process Owners
Ensure service levels are maintained throughout the transition and that risks are identified and managed
Contribute to the continuous improvement of transition methodologies and toolkits by capturing lessons learned and promoting consistent, optimised approaches
Support the delivery of high-quality, professional and guest-focused finance services
As Regional Manager, Finance Process, we expect from you:
Minimum 5 years’ experience in finance project management, including transition management
Experience with end-to-end business process transitions and/or shared service models
Knowledge of finance operating procedures and systems, including accounting, procurement, PMS and POS systems
Hospitality experience preferred but not required
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with both corporate and hotel-based teams
Ability to operate in a multi-cultural environment and adapt to change
Strong attention to detail, with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple initiatives
Proactive, reliable and diplomatic, with a collaborative and team-oriented approach
Excellent influencing skills and the ability to align competing interests
Fluent in English (written and spoken); Mandarin and/or Cantonese is an advantage
Lean / Six Sigma certification preferred
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline required; Master’s degree preferred
Willingness to travel internationally as required
