About the job

Based at the Mandarin Oriental, Kuala Lumpur / within the Food & Beverage Department in Kuala Lumpur, the Restaurant Manager is responsible to manage the day-to-day operations of the restaurant and create a pleasant dining environment and experience for guests. The Restaurant Manager reports to the Director of Food & Beverage.

As Restaurant Manager, you will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Plan in conjunction with the outlet activities, promotions, menu implementations according to the annual marketing plans

  • Ensure that all designated action points from daily briefings or bi-monthly operational meetings are being followed by the individuals concerned

  • Ensure that positive working relations with non-Food & Beverage departments are fostered giving cooperation at all times

  • Be aware of and comply with all legislation affecting the operation, including licensing regulations, health regulations and fire and safety regulations

As Assistant Restaurant Manager, we expect from you

  • A University/ Hotel School or College Graduate in Hotel Management

  • Minimum 3 years of hotel experience

  • Handling guest / colleague complaints and dealing with them tactfully

  • Previous experience in supervising and/or delegation

  • Willingness to develop team members and self
