About the job

Based at the Emirates palace Mandarin Oriental, Abu Dhabi within the Restaurants, Bars & Experiences Department, the Restaurants, Bars & Experiences Waiter/Waitress is responsible for delivering exceptional dining experiences through warm, attentive and personalized service while supporting the smooth operation of the outlet and contributing to the overall success of the Restaurants, Bars & Experiences (RB&E) operation. The Restaurants, Bars & Experiences Waiter/Waitress reports to the Restaurants, Bars & Experiences Assistant Restaurant Manager.

As Restaurants, Bars & Experiences Waiter/Waitress, you will be responsible for the following duties:

• Provide warm, attentive, and personalized service throughout the guest journey.  
• Build positive guest connections and create memorable moments.  
• Anticipate guest needs and respond to requests promptly.  
• Handle guest enquiries, preferences, and special requests.  
• Manage a designated restaurant section during service.  
• Prepare and maintain mise en place, table settings, and service areas.  
• Coordinate with kitchen and bar teams and service colleagues to ensure seamless service delivery.  
• Ensure accuracy in order taking, billing, and payment processing.  
• Maintain hygiene, safety, and presentation standards in accordance with established procedures. 
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of menus, beverages, and other Mandarin Oriental restaurant and bars within the Hotel.  
• Recommend and promote food, beverages, and experiences to enhance guest satisfaction and revenue performance.  
• Promote signature experiences, seasonal offerings, and outlet initiatives.  
• Identify opportunities to enhance the guest satisfaction and contribute to restaurant performance. 

As Restaurants, Bars & Experiences Waiter/Waitress, we expect from you: 

• Previous Food & Beverage or customer service experience preferred.  
• Good knowledge and understanding of food and beverage service standards.  
• Passion for guest engagement and creating memorable experiences.  
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.  
• Good command of English; additional language skills are an advantage.  
• Professional, guest-focused, and detail-oriented.  
• Able to work effectively in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment.
