About the job
Based at the Emirates palace Mandarin Oriental, Abu Dhabi within the Revenue Department, The Revenue Analyst is responsible to produce and analyse all marketing related statistics for short- and long-term strategic planning of the Sales & Marketing Department. Champion the revenue maximization initiatives in rooms and establish the Revenue Management culture in the hotel. Responsible for competitive intelligence and to facilitate strategic competitive practices through approved decision support tools. The Revenue Analyst reports to the Director of Revenue Strategy.
As a Revenue Analyst, you will be responsible for the following duties:
Preparation and distribution of daily, weekly, monthly revenue reports. The reports include market segmentation analysis, production reports, source contribution analysis, daily pick-up reports, etc.
Update and prepare analytical tools and reports in Excel
Execute pricing and restriction changes, manage rate and inventory availability
Reservation data cleaning and maintenance
Ensure correct rate loading and communication of new rates and packages to reservations, front office, accounting and other impacted departments
Perform audits and maintenance on all systems such as PMS, CRS, RMS, and Sales & Catering Systems to ensure content and information is correct.
Content management on third party sites
Ensure systems health, checking of interfaces, and resolve errors and discrepancies
Conduct market research and monitor competitor rates
Handle Best Rate Promise claims and monitor rates across various channels to ensure rate parity
Assist in development of forecasts and budgets.
Work closely with the Reservations & Sales Team in achieving the budget
Communicate strategies and procedures to other departments as required.
Participate in weekly revenue management meetings.
Prepare Revenue Management Report information for all related meetings.
Monitor and analyse the competition daily / weekly through shop reports and the Internet to identify selling strategies and market trends.
Assist in preparing short- and long-term forecasts.
Provide administrative support for the Revenue Management Team.
Review and analyse reports such as Demand360, STAR, Hotel Intelligence and other measurement tools and present revenue opportunities.
Be knowledgeable of all special rates and promotions.
As a Revenue Analyst, we expect from you:
Minimum of two years of previous experience in the same role in a luxury hotel is preferred, resort experience will be a plus.
Strong communication skills and computer literacy.
Numerically skilled with solid business insight and sharp analytical abilities.
