About the job
Based at the Mandarin Oriental Wangfujing, Beijing / within the Front Office Department, the Rising Fan is responsible for hands-on Rooms operational and leadership development training. In addition, the rising fan will take part in comprehensive learning and development programmes, competitor visits as well as academic studies. The Rising Fan reports to the Front Office Manager.
As Rising Fanyou will responsible for the following duties:
Provide leadership and support to Front Office colleagues.
Train, evaluate, and schedule Front Office team members in line with company policies and guidelines.
Develop and implement systems for checking and maintaining front desk operations and supplies.
Supervise the cleanliness and organization of the Front Office at all times.
Use the Colleague Handbook to ensure consistent communication of rules and regulations to the team.
Identify areas for improvement in service quality by reviewing guest feedback, incident reports, and service audits, then formulate action plans accordingly.
Promote effective inter-departmental communication to encourage teamwork and a positive work environment.
Conduct colleague counselling and disciplinary procedures in accordance with company standards.
Ensure customer satisfaction from arrival to departure, adhering to service manuals and quality standards.
Oversee the proper care, security, and maintenance of Front Office equipment through effective supervision of Front Office colleagues.
Ensure all guest-related documentation and information are accurate, current, and presented professionally.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of hotel services and amenities, ensuring information is distributed appropriately.
Perform other reasonable duties as assigned by management.
Support the company’s mission and values, leading by example and fostering a culture of excellence.
Assist in monitoring the overall presentation and grooming standards of Front Office colleagues.
Carry out any additional tasks as required by management.
