The Role

The Sales Executive for Group & MICE is a key commercial driver, accountable for maximizing group business value across rooms, F&B, events, and curated experiences. This role is focused on converting high‑yield enquiries, building long‑term partnerships, and positioning Mandarin Oriental Makati as the premier luxury venue for meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions in Metro Manila.

 

Key Responsibilities

Group Revenue Conversion

  • Take full ownership of group revenue contribution, ensuring maximum yield across all streams.
  • Drive conversion of enquiries into confirmed bookings, with accountability for conversion ratios and revenue targets.
  • Maximize total group value by cross‑selling rooms, F&B, incentives, and curated experiences.

Client Engagement & Relationship Building

  • Build trust‑based relationships with event planners, corporate clients, and incentive houses.
  • Present Mandarin Oriental Makati’s unique offerings with emphasis on luxury experiences and service excellence.
  • Ensure repeat group business through personalized engagement and flawless delivery.

Market Development & Penetration

  • Proactively identify and penetrate emerging opportunities within MICE and leisure group segments.
  • Develop a strong pipeline of new group accounts, ensuring sustainable revenue growth.
  • Collaborate with marketing and events teams to amplify exposure and strengthen brand positioning.
  • Support pre‑opening initiatives to establish Mandarin Oriental Makati as the leading luxury group venue in Metro Manila.

Brand Standards & Service Excellence

  • Represent Mandarin Oriental’s legendary service in all negotiations and client interactions.
  • Deliver proposals and presentations that embody the brand’s luxury positioning and commercial intent.
  • Consistently elevate client experiences to reinforce loyalty and long‑term partnerships.

 

Qualifications & Experience 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Business, Marketing, or related field. 
  • Minimum 1–2 years of hotel sales experience, preferably in the sales.  
  • Pre-opening hotel experience is an advantage. 
  • Strong negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills. 
  • Ability to work independently while supporting broader sales goals. 
  • Proficiency in Delphi preferred.
