Based at Mandarin Oriental, Singapore within the Security Department in Singapore, the Security Supervisor/Assistant Guest Services Manager (Security) is responsible in ensuring conformity of work standards and consistency in carrying out departmental operations and security within the premises of the hotel.
Responsible for the security and safety in the hotel, the Security Supervisor/Assistant Guest Services Manager (Security) oversees the entire operational and administrative duties of the Security department and is overall responsible for the team's performance and career development. Ensure conformity of work standards and consistency in carrying out departmental operations and security and safety related of the guests, colleagues within the premises of the hotel. Any other duties as assigned by the Hotel Manager from time to time. The position reports to the Guest Services Manager - Security.
As Security Supervisor/Assistant Guest Services Manager (Security), you will be responsible for the following duties:
Reports directly to Guest Services Manager - Security on shift. Assist in carrying out operational and administrative duties. Ensure conformity of work standards and consistency in carrying out departmental operations and other security and safety related tasks. Any other duties as assigned by Guest Services Manager - Security or above from time to time.
A Security Supervisor/Assistant Guest Services Manager (Security), we expect from you:
Conduct regular inspections and audits on BCM to ensure the implementation of safety compliance within set guidelines.
Provide technical support and advice on safety and BCM matters and activities.
Monitor, identify and make recommendations for unfavorable trends in Safety inspection findings, incidents and guest feedbacks.
Conduct and review Risk Assessment of work activities carried out by colleagues and contractors in the hotel premises, and ensure the implementation of risk reduction measures.
Conduct evaluation of new materials, equipment and machinery to ensure safety risks are reviewed and managed
Lead, in the case of a safety incident occurred, the analysis to find the root cause(s) by working with respective Head of Department and making recommendations to prevent recurrence.
Develop and organize Safety promotional activities to enhance awareness and knowledge.
Keep abreast of local Safety incidents and emerging issues and ensure timely sharing with colleagues.
Training of all hotel colleagues in safety related topics to a level consistent with the needs relevant to their function in the hotel.
Promoting safety awareness for all colleagues and ensure that all contractors are being briefed on safety regulations.
Responsible for the protection of lives and property against crime, violence and other hazards and for securing classified information
Responsible for all aspect of security and safety work within the entire Hotel complex and its perimeter
To carry out all Hotel security and safety operation, special events and emergency responds
Reports directly to Guest Services Manager - Security
Patrol and visits all locations requiring special attention as frequently as required
Perform static duties as assigned
Ensures maximum guest, employee and hotel safety and security at all times
Responds immediately to emergency situations and security calls
To be courteous, tactful, and helpful, but firm in enforcing hotel policies and procedures
Reports in writing all activities during each tour of duty
Verify all incoming postal mail and delivery of supplies
Abatement of fire and safety hazard
Conduct preliminary investigation
Any other duty undertook by Security Department
