About the job
Based at Mandarin Oriental Lutetia, Paris within the F&B department, the Sommelier reports to the Chief Sommelier.
As Sommelier you will be responsible for the following duties:
You will consistently contribute to and ensure guest satisfaction by delivering high-quality service, creating a unique and memorable experience.
You will be responsible for managing and replenishing the wine inventory.
You will provide wine service in accordance with proper standards of opening, decanting, presentation, tasting, and serving, in line with our establishment’s quality standards.
You will demonstrate excellent knowledge of food and wine pairings in order to guide, advise, and build guest loyalty.
You will assist with restaurant service (mise en place, clearing tables, etc.).
You will build guest loyalty and contribute to the development of revenue through upselling and additional sales.
As Sommelier we expect from you:
You have completed training in Hospitality and Catering, preferably with a specialization in Sommelier studies.
You have at least one year of experience as a Sommelier in a high-end establishment.
