About the job
Based at the Mandarin Oriental, Shenzhen within the Food & Beverage Division in Shenzhen, The Bay by Chef Fei Sommelier is responsible for managing the beverage service and all the wine inventory as well as promoting sales in the outlet. The Bay by Chef Fei Sommelier reports to the Director of Chinese Operations.
As The Bay by Chef Fei Sommelier, you will be responsible for the following duties:
Supervise and participate in running an efficient and profitable operation in the areas for which you are responsible. Liaise with your manager to actively encourage a professional and dedicated team
Understand guests’ needs and deliver excellent service and professional recommendation
Ensure that the beverage lists are updated and maintain accurate sales records
Serve all beverage orders in accordance with proper procedures
Monitor the proper storage, aging rotation and temperature of all stock in beverage storeroom in a daily basis
As The Bay by Chef Fei Sommelier, we expect from you:
Minimum 2 years’ relevant working experience in similar capacity
Excellent communication and organization skills
Fluent in spoken Mandarin and English
Holder of WSET Certificate
