About the job
Based at the Mandarin Oriental, Shenzhen within the Food & Beverage Division in Shenzhen, the Western Banquet Kitchen Chef De Partie is responsible for assisting in running the assigned kitchen efficiently and effectively. He/she is to ensure that the agreed quality, hygiene and other standards are kept or surpassed at all times. The Western Banquet Kitchen Chef De Partie reports to the Western Banquet Kitchen Sous Chef.
As Western Banquet Kitchen Chef De Partie, you will be responsible for the following duties:
Liaise and communicate with other Chef De Partie and Section leaders on any inter departmental requirements
Be firm and critical to subordinates and promptly correct any deviations, mistakes, intolerable behavior, or appearance of colleagues
Inspect all refrigerated and non-refrigerated food storage areas to ensure appropriate stock rotation. Ensure any out-of-stock items are being immediately reported
Perform any other reasonable duties as required by the department head
Handle customer comments and complaints and take swift corrective action after consultation with Sous Chef

Minimum 3 years’ relevant working experience in similar capacity
