About the job  

 

Based across two flagship properties - Mandarin Oriental Hong Kong and The Landmark Mandarin Oriental, the People & Culture Manager is responsible for driving colleague engagement and managing various compensation and benefits initiatives. The People & Culture Manager reports to the Cluster Director of People & Culture.  

 

As People & Culture Manager, you will be responsible for the following duties: 

  • Create, maintain and enhance colleague engagement programs and activities 

  • Develop, implement and monitor communication and recognition strategies 

  • Coordinate with departments to maintain pristine colleague facilities 

  • Responsible for compensation & benefits functions, including but not limited to payroll calculation, employee compensation & benefits administration, employee attendance and leave management 

  • Handle colleagues’ work injury and follow up on related matters 

  • Working closely with other Department Heads in the daily operation and to assist in the implementation of P&C strategies and to drive process improvement 

 

As People & Culture Manager, we expect from you: 

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in People & Culture field, with experience in Luxury Hotels preferred 

  • University graduate preferably in People & Culture Management, Finance or related discipline 

  • Knowledgeable of Hong Kong local employment ordinance, proficiency in payroll and HR systems 

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, a commitment to fostering a respectful workplace and a flexible team player 

  • Effective communication skills, both written and spoken, in English and Cantonese, with strong presentation skills
