MANDARIN ORIENTAL PARIS is looking for an Apprentice Commis de cuisine to join our Kitchen team.

About the Job:


As an Apprentice Commis de Cuisine, you will support the kitchen team and learn all operational tasks under the guidance of senior chefs. Your main objective will be to develop your culinary skills while assisting in preparing high-quality dishes in line with food safety and hygiene standards.

As Apprentice Commis de Cuisine you will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Assist in the preparation of ingredients and dishes according to recipes and standards
  • Support the kitchen team during service to ensure smooth operations
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of your workstation in compliance with hygiene regulations
  • Assist with stock management and proper storage of food items
  • Learn and develop your culinary skills under the supervision of the Head Chef and Sous Chefs
  • Follow all safety procedures and maintain a safe working environment
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure the highest quality of food
  • Participate actively in training sessions and learning opportunities

As Apprentice Commis de Cuisine, We Expect from You:

  • A strong passion for cooking and motivation to build a career in a luxury hospitality environment
  • Currently enrolled in a culinary school (apprenticeship program)
  • Basic knowledge of kitchen hygiene and food safety standards
  • Ability to learn quickly and follow instructions from experienced chefs
  • Good organization skills, attention to detail, and rigor
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Team spirit and good communication skills
  • Positive attitude, enthusiasm, and willingness to learn
  • Fluent in French (spoken and written)
