About the job
Based at Mandarin Oriental, Costa Navarino within the F&B Department in Pylos, Messenia, Greece, the Assistant Banquet Manager is responsible for leading and directing the Banquet service team daily to ensure the operation of the department delivers consistent excellence and guest satisfaction. The Assistant Banquet Manager reports to the Assistant Director of F&B.
As Assistant Banquet Manager, you will be responsible for the following duties:
Encourage proactive, efficient, and effective inter-departmental communication to promote a climate of teamwork and enthusiasm.
Drive kind and generous service in always treating both guests and colleagues in a respectful manner, while treasuring our colleagues as much as our guests.
Ensure any information shared in the weekly BEO meeting is received by all relevant parties.
Possess a high-profile presence in the operation during all service periods, actively support colleagues, monitor standards and training needs and be always on hand to support and deal with any guest dissatisfaction.
Be aware of, and comply with, safe working practices, HACCP and Health & Safety guidelines related to Food & Beverage.
Ensure profitability through controlling food and beverage cost, menu pricing, payroll cost and any other related costs.
As Assistant Banquet Manager, we expect from you:
EU passport or Residence Permit is mandatory in order to work in Greece.
Previous relevant management experience within the luxury hospitality.
Valid drivers’ license.
Fluency in English. Greek or any other additional language will be considered as a plus.
Strong overall computer literacy, not limited to MS Office.
