About the job
Based at Mandarin Oriental, Costa Navarino within the People & Culture Department in Pylos, Messenia, Greece, the Assistant Director of People & Culture assists in planning, directing, and coordinating all functions of People & Culture department. The Assistant Director of People & Culture reports to the Director of People & Culture.
As Assistant Director of People & Culture, you will be responsible for the following duties:
Oversee operational People & Culture processes across the hotel, ensuring seamless recruitment, onboarding, performance management, compensation & benefit coordination, and employee relations.
Support the Director of People & Culture in developing and implementing strategies that drive a high-performing culture aligned with Mandarin Oriental’s values and business objectives.
Lead talent management initiatives throughout the full employee lifecycle, including succession planning, coaching, and development programs to support colleague growth and organizational capability.
Champion employee engagement, wellbeing, and inclusion by fostering a respectful workplace culture and managing employee relations in line with best-practice P&C standards.
Ensure full compliance with labor laws, hotel policies, and health & safety standards while maintaining accurate HR analytics, reporting, and People & Culture systems.
Contribute to budgeting, workforce planning, and data-driven decision-making by preparing P&C metrics and supporting the development of the annual department budget.
As Assistant Director of People & Culture, we expect from you:
Extensive Human Resources Experience in Hospitality. Experience in Luxury Hotels preferred.
Thorough knowledge of Human Resources practices, labour laws and regulations.
Prioritization and organizational skills necessary to meet deadlines and project execution.
Strong Management skills to lead the P&C team and become a trustworthy business partner to operations.
Strong overall computer literacy, not limited to MS Office.
Fluency in Greek & English.
