Assistant Front Office Manager

Duties and Supporting Responsibilities

  • Operate the Front Office properly, efficiently and with profitability;
  • Supporting the Front Office Manager ensuring that Legendary Quality Standards, policies and procedures of Mandarin Oriental Wangfujing, Beijing are properly understood and followed through among Front Office colleagues;
  • Supporting the Front Office Manager in ensuring and maintaining a very high standard of personal hygiene, behaviour and grooming standards of colleagues;
  • Ensure accurate communication of information and guest requests to all relevant departments;
  • Handle all guest complaints and specific guests’ requests by cooperating with all departments;
  • Maximize room revenue and occupancy by effectively controlling rates and availability (on the day of arrival);
  • Personally welcomes VIP guests as well as repeat guests and Fans of MO; recognize and anticipate their individual needs in collaboration with Guest Relations team;
  • Provide prompt assistance to guests in the lobby and Front Office area;
  • Handle cash drawer properly as outlined in the MOHG Controller's manual;
  • Provide quality service by responding to requests promptly, efficiently and courteously during check-in, check-out and throughout the guest's experience;

 

Requirements

  • 2-year experience in the same position or Front Office Supervisor within a luxury environment;
  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or a related field;
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Chinese;
  • Able to multi-task and problem solving;
  • Strong knowledge of front office operations, including reception, cashiering and concierge;
  • The ability to work well in a team environment;
