About the job

Based at the Mandarin Oriental, Munich the Assistant Front Office Manager is responsible for smooth operations at our Front Office. The Assistant Front Office Manager reports to the Front Office Manager.

As Assistant Front Office Manager, you will responsible for the following duties:

  • Coordination and support on all shifts
  • Ensuring that shifts run smoothly
  • Assisting the front office manager in the preparation of duty and vacation schedules
  • Ensuring good and effective collaboration with all departments
  • Preparing and conducting meetings and team briefings
  • Deputy for the Front Office Manager / Night Manager in case of absence

As Assistant Front Office Manager, we expect from you:

  • Completed vocational training in the hotel industry
  • Practical work experience at the Front Office and/or in guest services as well as first management experience, preferably in the luxury hospitality
  • Friendly appearance as well as strong service orientation, discretion and empathy
  • Entrepreneurial thinking and acting
  • Structured and independent way of working
  • Ability to work in a team and good conversation skills
  • Very good MS-Office skills
  • Excellent communication skills in German and English, other languages are advantageous
