About the job

Based at Mandarin Oriental, Costa Navarino within the Food & Beverage Department in Pylos, Messenia, Greece, the Assistant In Room Dining Manager assists the F&B management in the leadership of the service team, while driving service excellence and delivering the Mandarin Oriental objectives.

As Assistant In Room Dining​ Manager, you will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Support In Room Dining department in both operational and administrative tasks, stepping in during their absence when required.
  • Oversee the daily operation of the In Room Dining department and manage shifts to ensure smooth, efficient, and timely service, while maintaining close communication with the Culinary team.
  • Assist in supervising duty schedules and ensure proper compliance with departmental staffing plans.
  • Lead, motivate, and support the In Room Dining service team, fostering a positive and collaborative working environment.
  • Ensure all service, operational, and quality standards are consistently maintained in line with company expectations.
  • Monitor the cleanliness, organization, and overall maintenance of the In Room Dining operation, coordinating with Engineering and Housekeeping for regular inspections and follow-up actions.
  • Handle guest requests and concerns professionally, ensuring a high level of guest satisfaction and personalized service.

​As Assistant In Room Dining Manager, we expect from you: 

  • Valid EU Passport or Hellenic Residence Permit.
  • 2 years' experience in a similar role, in a luxury hotel operation.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Local and international food and beverage awareness.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite; Outlook, Word and Excel.
