About the job
Based at The Landmark Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong within F&B Service Division in Hong Kong, the Assistant Manager - Champagne Bar will be responsible in supervising the day-to-day restaurant operation encompassing business level projection and promotional activities. Initiate training to enhance the consistency in service and standards. The Assistant Manager - Champagne Bar reports to the Food & Beverage Manager.
As Assistant Manager - Champagne Bar, you will be responsible for the following duties:
Advise the Manager on discussions with Chefs to produce menus and promotion programme
Inspect the front and back areas and make sure all is always impeccable
Keep strict control of all security matters, especially the keys of the storeroom, restaurant and colleague drawers
Control the quality of food and beverage served
Handle complaints from guests and colleagues
Responsible for the control of disciplinary procedures and ensure the hotel’s standards are achieved
Organize and follow through the training and daily meetings with all staff
Arrange the hygiene and fire precaution lectures
Maintain a tight financial control in all areas relating to the budget
Maintain par stock of all items as agreed and ensure breakage and wastage are kept to the absolute minimum
Review short term variance of cover sales and labour costs by meal periods
As Assistant Manager - Champagne Bar, we expect from you:
With at least 4 years’ experience in F&B or hotel industry
Experience in French fine dining or Michelin-starred restaurants is preferred
Passionate about delivering an exceptional F&B service
Pleasant, presentable, service -oriented and good supervision skills
A team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills
Proficient in Cantonese and English. Mandarin is an advantage
