Based at the Mandarin Oriental Paris within the Guest Relation Department in Paris,
The Assistant Guest Relations Manager is the person who acts as the internal liaison between guests and the various hotel departments. He/She promotes and enhances the quality of guest welcome and departure, as well as guest support throughout their stay.

In coordination with the different hotel departments, he/she ensures that guests’ stay conditions are optimized in order to meet, and even anticipate, their expectations.

He/She is responsible for updating guests’ individual electronic records.

He/She collects guest feedback and any potential complaints and ensures appropriate and effective follow‑up.

As Assistant Guest Relations Manager, you will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Contributes to financial objectives by maximizing room occupancy through Yield Management and up-selling techniques.
  • Supports revenue growth by promoting and selling hotel services beyond accommodation.
  • Controls costs related to welcome amenities, ensuring appropriate and efficient distribution.
  • Prepares and coordinates guest arrivals, with particular attention to VIPs and special requests.
  • Delivers personalized guest welcome, check-in, stay support, and departure in line with 5-star standards.
  • Ensures correct room allocation, VIP room setup, and readiness of welcome amenities.
  • Acts as a key liaison between Front Office, Concierge, and other departments to anticipate and meet guest needs.
  • Manages guest information by updating electronic guest profiles and tracking preferences.
  • Handles guest feedback and complaints professionally, following LQE procedures and reporting to management.
  • Supports operational continuity by managing reservations, arrivals/departures, administrative tasks, and deputizing for the Guest Relations Manager when required.

As Assistant Guest Relations Manager, we expect from you: 

  • Proven experience in a similar role within a luxury or high-end hospitality environment.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and discreet, with a strong sense of responsibility.
  • Impeccable personal presentation and a polished, professional demeanour.
  • Proactive, resourceful, and available to always respond to guest needs.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with a genuine passion for guest interaction and personalized service.
  • Fluent in English
  • Fluency in a 3rd language appreciated (Mandarin, Arabic, Russian)
