About the Job:
As Assistant Bar Manager at Mandarin Oriental Paris, you will support the Bar & Beverage Manager in all related operational, administrative and financial aspects of the outlet and assume full responsibility in his absence. The Assistant Manager will assist on the implementation and maintenance of cocktail and beverage menus.
As Assistant BARManager, you will be responsible for the following duties:
Support the Bar Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the bar, ensuring smooth service and alignment with luxury hospitality standards.
Assist in leading, training, and motivating the bar team to coatmosphere. Prepare exceptional service and enhance the overall guest experience.
Collaborate on the development and upkeep of the beverage menu, contributing ideas for signature cocktails and premium selections.
Support the enforcement of hygiene, health, and safety standards in all aspects of bar operations.
Help monitor inventory levels, manage stock orders and deliveries, and minimize waste to maintain cost efficiency.
Maintain a clean, refined, and visually appealing bar environment in line with brand standards.
Act as a hotel ambassador, fostering genuine connections with guests and contributing to guest satisfaction and loyalty.
Coordinate with the F&B, events, and front office teams to assist in the execution of promotions, themed nights, and special events.
Assist in budget tracking, cost control, and performance analysis to support profitability goals.
Help organize staff schedules to meet operational demands while promoting a collaborative and positive team atmosphere.
Assist in preparing and monitoring the bar’s budget, supporting the analysis of financial performance and contributing to strategies that enhance profitability.
Support the creation and coordination of staff schedules to ensure efficient operations while encouraging a positive and collaborative team environment.
As Assistant Bar Manager, We Expect from You:
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role in a luxury hotel or fine dining environment, with experience managing both room service and banquets.
Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Strong communication skills and a passion for delivering outstanding guest service.
Ability to multitask and work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
Fluent in French and English (written and spoken); additional languages are a plus.
Strong knowledge of food and beverage service, including banqueting procedures.
Experience in managing budgets and controlling costs.
