The Sirēya Desaru Coast is looking for a Bellman to join our Front Office team.

About the job

The Bellman is responsible for welcoming guests upon arrival, assisting with luggage, escorting them to their rooms, and providing general information about the hotel and surrounding area. The Bellman plays a key role in creating a positive first and last impression for guests.

As a Bellman, you will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Greet guests courteously at the entrance, lobby, or driveway.
  • Assist with loading/unloading luggage and transporting it to and from guest rooms.
  • Escort guests to their rooms and explain room features and hotel facilities.
  • Provide information about hotel services, facilities, and nearby attractions.
  • Deliver items to guest rooms (e.g., messages, packages, amenities) upon request.
  • Ensure the lobby, entrance, and bell desk areas are clean, organized, and welcoming.
  • Assist with guest transportation arrangements, such as calling taxis or helping with shuttle services.
  • Safely store and retrieve luggage in the luggage room when needed.
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism and guest service at all times.
  • Assist with wheelchair service, directions, or other guest mobility support if required.
  • Report any lost & found items to the appropriate department.

As Bellman, we expect from you: 

  • Previous experience in a similar role or hospitality environment is an advantage.
  • Good communication skills and a pleasant personality.
  • Physically fit and able to lift or carry heavy luggage.
  • Well-groomed appearance and courteous behavior.
  • Basic English communication; additional language skills are a plus.
  • Willing to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
