About the job

Based at the Mandarin Oriental Paris within the Front office Department in Paris, the Front Office Supervisor will meet and exceed guest expectations by providing efficient and courteous reception service in accordance with Legendary Quality Experiences. They manage the daily operations of the reception desk, including front desk management when necessary.

As Front Office Supervisor​ , you will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Effectively lead and support Front Office staff to ensure smooth daily operations, offering guidance and hands-on involvement.
  • Assist the Assistant Front Office Manager in training team members according to company standards and identifying further training needs.
  • Monitor and ensure timely completion of all duties from the task list, including opening and closing checklists.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in both the reception and back-office areas at all times.
  • Identify areas for service enhancement using guest feedback and opportunity reports, sharing insights with supervisors.
  • Promote proactive and effective communication to foster teamwork and a positive work environment.
  • Enforce hygiene and grooming standards to reflect the Mandarin Oriental’s professional image.
  • Handle guest requests and complaints efficiently; promptly escalate serious issues to supervisors.
  • Cooperate closely with Concierge, Housekeeping, Reservations, Room Service, Night Team, and Accounting.
  • Ensure accurate staff scheduling, data verification, proper cash handling, and actively participate in or lead meetings when needed.

As Front Office Supervisor, we expect from you: 

  • Availability for night shifts
  • Successful experience in a similar position in an establishment of the same category
  • Organized, rigorous and discreet
  • Excellent presentation
  • Initiative and availability
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills and a taste for customer contact
  • Fluent in English
  • Fluency in a 3rd language appreciated (Mandarin, Arabic, Russian)
