About the job
Based at Mandarin Oriental, Bangkok, the Chef de Cuisine will be responsible for all operational, administrative, and financial aspects of Ciao, the Italian restaurant. He/ She will also provide support for Banqueting events as required.
As Chef de Cuisine,you will be responsible for the following duties:
Responsible for preparation, presentation and service of all food for the a la carte Italian restaurant to highest standards and practices of the hotel.
Ensure that the kitchen operates a food cost at an acceptable level, ensuring the highest quality and standards. Monitor costs and take corrective action when required.
Maintains high levels of hygiene and cleanliness in area of responsibility.
Managing a team of 10+ colleagues including hiring, training and development.
As Chef de Cuisine, we expect from you:
Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills are essential.
Drive for excellence and ability to introduce new products according to the market.
Minimum of 3 years experience in similar position in recognised properties/ restaurants.
Working experiences in Thailand is a plus.
Possess good English communication skills.
Passionate, committed, creative, flexible and a team player with high energy level.
Ability to perform duties under pressure, handle challenging tasks and situations.
Computer literate and HACCP knowledge.
