About the job

Based at the Mandarin Oriental Savoy, Zurich within the Culinary Department in Zurich, the Chef de Partie - Banquet is responsible for state-of-the-art culinary experiences. The Chef de Partie - Banquet reports to the Banquet Chef and Sous Chef.

As Chef de Partie - Banquet, you will be responsible for the following tasks:

  • Taking responsibility for the management of your kitchen station, ensuring efficient and seamless workflow while strictly adhering to quality and hygiene standards
  • Ensuring flawless preparation, quality, and appealing presentation of our dishes in accordance with our high standards
  • Ensuring that food waste is kept to a minimum
  • Providing creative support in the development of new food concepts
  • Coordinating with your supervisor for inventory requisition and overseeing daily goods receipt
  • Being responsible for the daily control of hygiene regulations and cleanliness according to HACCP guidelines

As Chef de Partie - Banquet, we expect from you:

  • A completed apprenticeship as a chef. 2-3 years of professional experience in a similar role, preferably in upscale hospitality/gastronomy
  • Flexibility and resilience – your position includes weekend and holiday shifts
  • An eye for detail and creativity – to incorporate your culinary signature
  • Excellent communication skills, teamwork, and organizational abilities
  • Strong leadership skills to manage your own station
  • High commitment, with a structured, results-oriented, and independent working style
  • A strong sense of quality
  • Very good English skills. Additional language skills are an advantage
