About the job
Based at Mandarin Oriental, Costa Navarino within the Culinary Department in Pylos, Messenia, Greece, the Chief Baker is responsible to carry out kitchen duties whilst ensuring smooth, coordinated team effort in the pastry. The Chief Baker reports to the Executive Pastry Chef.
As Chief Baker, you will be responsible for the following duties:
Report operational issues to the Executive Chef and Chef de Cuisine.
Attend all training sessions and participate in special events, promotions, and demonstrations.
Maintain a clean, presentable uniform and ensure personal hygiene.
Work closely with the pastry team on daily operations and food quality control.
Ensure proper pastries’ handling and inspect incoming goods.
Complete additional tasks as assigned by management.
As Chief Baker, we expect from you:
EU Passport or valid Residence Permit is mandatory in order to work in Greece.
Globally recognized culinary qualification.
Degree in Hotel and Catering Management will be considered a plus.
3 years of relevant experience.
Fluency in English.
Ability to be flexible regarding shifts.
