About the job
Based at the Mandarin Oriental Canouan / within the Culinary Department in Canouan, the Commis Pastry is responsible for assisting in the preparation and production of high-quality pastries, desserts, and baked goods, ensuring consistency, presentation, and taste that meet the standards of Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group. This role supports the Pastry team in daily operations, maintains cleanliness and organization in the pastry kitchen, and contributes to delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests. The Commis Pastry reports to the Pastry Sous Chef.

As Commis Pastry we expect from you:
· Diploma or certificate in Culinary Arts / Pastry or equivalent preferred.
· Previous pastry kitchen experience in a hotel or fine dining environment is an asset.
· Knowledge of basic pastry techniques and willingness to learn advanced skills.
· Strong attention to detail, creativity, and passion for pastry.
· Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
· Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
