Cook (Night Shift – Sick Leave Cover)
Mandarin Oriental, Barcelona is looking for a Cook to join our Culinary Team on a temporary basis, covering a sick leave during the night shift.

The hotel has 120 rooms and 28 suites, uniquely decorated by Patricia Urquiola, along with a 2 Michelin star restaurant, cocktail bar, indoor garden Mimosa, pool terrace and a world-class Spa.
Based at the Mandarin Oriental, Barcelona within the Culinary Department, the Cook (Night Shift) is responsible for preparing and delivering high-quality dishes during the evening and night service, ensuring consistency and excellence according to the hotel’s standards. The Cook reports to the Sous Chef.
Preparing and cooking dishes for night service, room service and special events.
Following the established recipes and presentation standards.
Ensuring the correct handling, storage and rotation of ingredients.
Maintaining the cleanliness, hygiene and organization of the kitchen during the shift.
Supporting colleagues in different kitchen sections when needed.
Strictly following HACCP and food safety guidelines.
Assisting with stock control, requisitions and deliveries scheduled for the next day.
Previous experience as a cook, ideally in luxury hotels or fine dining restaurants.
Ability to work independently and manage responsibilities during night shifts.
Knowledge of hygiene and safety standards.
High attention to detail and a passion for gastronomy.
Strong teamwork spirit and flexibility.
English and/or Spanish communication skills.
