As Director of Engineering at One Hyde Park: The Residences at Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park, London, we expect from you:

• To ensure the building is well maintained and operational areas have an atmosphere that meets or exceeds resident expectations,
• To develop and implement a long-term plan for preventative maintenance,
• To manage the physical plant including equipment, refrigeration, HVAC, plumbing, water treatment and electrical systems in accordance with standard operating procedures,
• To manage the tender process for maintenance and construction bids, overseeing the timely completion of projects within the specific budget,
• To ensure building and equipment licenses, permits and certifications are current and maintain property life safety systems,
• To manage and control heat, light and power and recommend current best methods for energy conservation and economical facility operations,
• To directly oversee the activities of the Engineering department, including managing performance and development needs for the team,
• To ensure compliance with all legislation and company regulations.

As Director of Engineering, you will be working predominantly Monday to Friday, 9am to 5:30pm, but flexibility is required where applicable, including weekends and bank holidays.

To be a successful Director of Engineering, you will have experience in luxury and/or high spec residential or hotel engineering. You will be passionate about building strong relationships with residents and colleagues with creative problem-solving skills. You will be dedicated to providing the best possible service to our Residents, ensuring the smooth maintenance and operation of all systems and equipment.
