About the job
The Director of Marketing is responsible for developing and executing the hotel’s overall marketing and communication strategies to drive brand awareness, maximize revenue, and enhance market positioning. This role oversees digital marketing, public relations, advertising, partnerships, and loyalty programs, ensuring alignment with the hotel’s commercial objectives.
As Director of Marketing, you will be responsible for the following duties:
Strategic Planning & Leadership
Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies aligned with the hotel’s business objectives and revenue targets.
Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer insights to identify new opportunities and risks.
Lead the marketing team and collaborate with sales, revenue, and operations departments to ensure integrated commercial strategies.
Manage the hotel’s marketing budget, ensuring cost efficiency and ROI on campaigns.
Branding & Positioning
Ensure the hotel’s brand standards are consistently represented across all marketing channels.
Drive creative direction for campaigns, ensuring messaging reflects the hotel’s unique positioning and value proposition.
Manage partnerships with brand/corporate marketing teams (if part of a chain) to leverage global initiatives.
Digital Marketing & Online Presence
Oversee hotel website content, SEO, SEM, social media presence, and online advertising campaigns.
Optimize performance on OTAs, review platforms (Tripadvisor, Google Reviews), and meta-search engines.
Lead CRM initiatives, database management, and email marketing campaigns to build customer loyalty.
Track and analyze digital marketing KPIs (website traffic, conversion rates, engagement, ROI).
Public Relations & Communications
Build and maintain relationships with media, influencers, and key industry stakeholders.
Develop press releases, media kits, and communication materials for hotel events, promotions, and initiatives.
Manage crisis communication and ensure alignment with corporate communication guidelines.
Organize press trips, familiarization tours, and influencer collaborations.
Revenue & Business Development Support
Collaborate closely with the Sales and Revenue teams to design campaigns that drive occupancy, ADR (average daily rate), and RevPAR growth.
Support F&B, Spa, and other revenue-generating outlets with promotional campaigns.
Monitor marketing campaign performance and adjust strategies based on results.
Events & Partnerships
Oversee the promotion of in-house events, seasonal campaigns, and community engagement activities.
Develop partnerships with local businesses, tourism boards, and destination marketing organizations.
Represent the hotel at trade shows, exhibitions, and networking events.
As Director of Marketing, we expect from you:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field (Master’s preferred).
Minimum 8–10 years of progressive marketing experience in the hospitality industry, with at least 3–5 years in a leadership role.
Strong knowledge of digital marketing tools, analytics, and hotel distribution systems.
Proven track record in brand building, strategic marketing, and campaign execution.
Experience working with international markets and multicultural teams (advantage for luxury or chain hotels)
Strategic thinker with strong business acumen.
Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
Proficiency in digital marketing platforms (Google Ads, Meta Business Suite, SEO/SEM tools).
Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
Creativity and innovation in campaign design and storytelling.
Analytical skills with the ability to measure and report marketing effectiveness.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
