About the job

Based at Mandarin Oriental Punta Negra, Mallorca, as the Director of Revenue, you will lead the overall revenue management strategy of the property, ensuring maximum profitability across all revenue streams. You will collaborate closely with the Director of Marketing & Commerce and the senior leadership team to develop, execute, and continuously refine pricing, inventory, and distribution strategies that align with the hotel's business objectives.

As Director of Revenue, you will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Lead the preparation and strategic interpretation of daily, weekly, and monthly revenue reports, including market segmentation analysis, production trends, source contribution, pick-up, and forecast reports.
  • Develop and implement pricing and distribution strategies based on market demand, competitor intelligence (including STR, OTA Insight, Demand360, and Agency360), and internal business trends.
  • Ensure accurate rate loading and inventory management across all distribution channels, in alignment with the hotel’s business goals.
  • Conduct regular audits and maintain system accuracy across PMS, CRS, RMS, and Sales & Catering systems, ensuring data integrity and consistency.
  • Chair and lead weekly Revenue Strategy Meetings, presenting forward-looking analysis, insights, and recommendations to the Executive Committee and other key stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and E-Commerce to align demand generation efforts with inventory and pricing strategies.
  • Support group business strategy by maintaining group pick-up reports, managing cut-off dates, and ensuring optimal displacement analysis for group inquiries.
  • Submit daily and monthly actuals to STR and ensure all benchmarking reports are accurate and actioned.
  • Analyze the impact of local events, holidays, and business trends to refine forecasts and pricing recommendations.
  • Oversee the preparation of the 10-Day Forecast to support operational planning and staffing decisions.
  • Guide and develop the revenue team and ensure cross-departmental communication and alignment on strategy execution.
  • Ensure Delphi and PMS data alignment through monthly group audit checks and regular updates in MARs.
  • Conduct quality control activities, including test calls to CRO and hotel reservations, to ensure proper selling strategies and messaging.
  • Drive the hotel’s Ecommerce strategy in partnership with the regional and corporate digital teams, ensuring monthly tasks and reporting are completed.
  • Monitor and enhance the performance of special offers, packages, and promotional rates in the market.
  • Lead the development of short- and long-term financial forecasts and budgets, aligning revenue initiatives with the hotel's business plan.
  • Act as the strategic point of contact for revenue management in the absence of the Regional Director of Revenue Management.
  • Perform any additional duties as required by hotel or regional leadership.

As Director of Revenue, we expect from you: 

Experience and Education

  • University degree in Business, Finance, Hospitality Management or a related field is highly desirable
  • Previous experience in a similar leadership role within the luxury hospitality industry is essential
  • Proven track record in Revenue Management and strategic commercial planning

Technical and Professional Skills

  • Advanced computer literacy, particularly in revenue systems, data analysis tools, and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and transform insights into action
  • Excellent knowledge of hotel systems including PMS, CRS, RMS, and Sales & Catering platforms
  • Deep understanding of rate structures, distribution strategies, and market segmentation
  • Experience in forecasting, budgeting, and business planning
