About the job
The Director of Rooms is responsible to ensure the efficient running of the entire Rooms Division through achieving budgeted Colleagues Satisfaction, Guest Satisfaction and GOP results for each area.
As Director of Rooms, you will be responsible for the following duties:
Align management style, working practices and conduct with The Sirēya Desaru Coast and The Sirēya Desaru Coast’s vision, Global Support values, operating standards and policies. To comply with The Sirēya Desaru Coast’s code of conduct at all times.
Personally build clear and open lines of communication with all departments.
Understand and abide by all Government laws relating to Rooms Division.
Be actively involved with the analysis of the GSQ portal. Manage guest feedback system relating to GSQ surveys.
Be critical and demanding of operating standards.
Manage all external contracts to ensure aligned service is received maximizing value for money.
Monitor and control all financial aspects of the business including the preparation of the annual business plan.
Implement and monitor programs to maintain the condition of Hotel assets in all Rooms Division areas.
Be well versed and knowledgeable of the hotels Fire Evacuation and all Emergency procedures as well as health and safety requirements in the Workplace. Ensure colleagues are aware of their duty of care as determined by legislation and that they maintain complete familiarity.

Conduct weekly SMART Plan review with all direct reports to ensure follows up to achieve the agreed goals & objectives.
Actively participate in sales presentations, property tours and customer meetings.
Conduct monthly walkthrough with Engineering, Housekeeping and DH to ensure action and standards are maintained.
Deliver a monthly report on Key issues, developments, outstanding works, and personal and financial concerns to GM and cc EXCOM.
Directly manage certain departments that have been assigned by GM.
Undertake additional duties as requested by the General Manager of the Hotel.
As Director of Rooms, we expect from you:
Strong leadership and organizational skills.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Strong financial acumen and problem-solving skills.
High attention to detail and quality standards.
Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management or related field preferred.
Minimum of 5–7 years of experience in hotel operations, with at least 3 years in a leadership role within the Rooms Division.
