About the job
Based at the Mandarin Oriental Office, within the Group Residences Department in New York City, the Manager, Residences Marketing supports the department's overall marketing strategy with a strong focus on project management and account servicing to key developers in the portfolio as defined by the Global Head of Residences Marketing. The Manager will also execute projects to create Residences brand collateral, support new initiatives for Group Residences, and ensure Residences owners globally remain engaged.
As Manager, Residences Marketing you will be responsible for the following duties:
Developer Marketing – Project Management, Brand Direction & Support:
In preparation for a developer's initial marketing and sales process, this role is responsible for:
Maintaining relationships with lead developer contacts and consultants for projects in the Americas.
Updating content to the Residences Brand Communication Manual for developers globally.
Creating and refreshing reference materials provided to developers (i.e. briefing materials, presentations, tool kits, merchandise list, image library, best practices, etc.).
Providing marketing support throughout a project's life cycle which may last from 6 months to 3 years consisting of the following phases:
Launch
Assist in the review of marketing materials and the sales & marketing timeline for each residential project.
On-going marketing
Review and edit content and messaging including, but not limited to the following:
Press releases
Sales and marketing brochures
Direct mail/electronic direct mail (eDM) Website and digital marketing programs Advertising (print/digital/signage) Sales center
Sales film
Floor plans
Fact sheets
Sales scripts
Events and activations
Social media
Transition from marketing to sales: During this final stage, assist in the review of developer collateral as they transition to a sales strategy when marketing items and activity are targeted to brokers.
Residences Brand Marketing Support
Maintain and update Residences pages on Mandarin Oriental.com and Fans of M.O. Elite, Mandarin Oriental’s guest recognition program, working with Digital team on copy, design, and navigation.
Support ad hoc projects for Group Residences throughout the year. Examples to include, but not limited to:
Digital marketing and CRM programs
Residences presentations and other visual assets
Quarterly Mandarin Oriental executive reports
Brand briefing and supporting presentations for Residences colleagues
Vendor research and sourcing
Residences Owner Engagement & Recognition
Marketing efforts to existing Residences owners are critical in providing long-term shareholder value, attracting our Residences owners to utilize hotel products and services "at home" and when staying as guests at Mandarin Oriental Hotels around the world ("away benefits") to thereby increase revenue for both the home location and visited properties. This role has the following responsibilities:
Support marketing programs to effectively engage owners in a relevant manner consistent with an Ultra High Net Worth Individual (UHNWI) lifestyle and in keeping with Mandarin Oriental’s luxury and legendary service positioning.
Collaborate with Fans of M.O. to improve benefits for Residence owners
Monitor “home benefits” and outreach to Marketing/Communication teams, Residences Operations, local Residences Directors, and Hotel Directors of Communications.
Develop and analyze data to track buyer journey and residents’ spend in Mandarin Oriental Hotels.
Additional duties to include:
25% travel; varies throughout the year based on project life cycle; travel can be higher depending on project needs.
Additional duties as assigned by Global Head of Residences Marketing.
As Manager, Residences Marketing , we expect from you:
Minimum 5 years of professional experience in residential marketing
Agency management required
Hospitality and/or luxury background with international exposure preferred
Fluency in Spanish (or other foreign language) is a plus
Bachelor’s degree in marketing/communications/PR
