About the job
Based at Mandarin Oriental Barcelona, the Front Desk Agent night is responsible for delivering a legendary arrival and departure experience while handling guest needs efficiently and professionally. The Front Desk Agent reports to the Front Desk Manager and works closely with the Front Office Supervisor.

As Front Desk Agent Night, you will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Greet and escort guests promptly to their rooms when needed.

  • Perform all Mandarin Oriental standards for arrivals and departures according to the Legendary Quality Experience.

  • Operate the PBX system as required.

  • Manage and balance the cash drawer in accordance with MOHG Controller’s manual.

  • Verify cash float accuracy at the start and end of shifts.

  • Address guest preferences based on profile history and ensure personalized service.

  • Communicate hotel features and services tailored to each guest's needs.

  • Stay updated with hotel procedures by attending daily briefings and reviewing internal communications.

  • Provide exceptional guest service throughout the entire guest journey, from check-in to check-out.

  • Coordinate with Concierge, Housekeeping, PBX, Reservations, and Room Service teams.

  • Manage guest correspondence, messages, and mail.

  • Liaise with Night Audit and Accounting to ensure accurate financial and billing information.

  • Assist guests in the lobby and maintain a welcoming presence.

  • Prepare daily arrival and departure materials (welcome cards, registration, limo services, etc.).

  • Ensure proper handling of in-house guest invoices and next-day group arrangements.

  • Oversee incoming reservations outside of Reservations team hours.

  • Perform accounting-related tasks such as balance checks, payouts, and receipt reviews.

  • Carry out any other reasonable duties assigned by hotel management.

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a luxury hotel.

  • Good level of English and Spanish.
