Head Bartender Ottolenghi

Mandarin Oriental Conservatorium Amsterdam is looking for a Head Bartender to join our Ottolenghi Restaurant.

As Head Bartender - Ottolenghi, you will be responsible for the following duties:

• Oversee the daily operations, quality service standard and maintenance work of the bar;
• Support the Restaurant General Manager in leading and overseeing the bar team in any aspect;
• Take over the closing duties of the bar;
• Meet and greet guests in a professional and efficient manner;
• Report any complaints or concerns to the Restaurant General Manager in a timely manner;
• Be familiar with all brands of spirits and wine in stock and the use of glassware;
• Keep the storeroom clean and organized at all times;
• Ensure all equipment and spirits are stored in their designed place, assist with the monthly training and provide on-the-job training as needed;
• Ensure that all beverage costs are in line and under control;
• Carry out duties in a cooperative manner, ensuring team spirit is at the highest level and serve guests in a friendly, helpful, professional and efficient way;
• Perform any other reasonable duties as required by your department head from time to time;

As Head Bartender - Ottolenghi, we expect from you:

• At least 3 years of relevant working experience in similar capacity in hotel Food & Beverage, preferably with pre-opening experience in a luxury hotel;
• Good knowledge of Dutch and English language (written and spoken);
• Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills;
• Passionate in customer service and hospitality industry;
• International exposure will be an advantage;
• Ability to work evenings and weekend shifts;
