Host/Hostess SACHI
The Host/Hostess is responsible for ensuring the complete satisfaction of our customers.
The Host/Hostess's main tasks are:
Before the service:
Have a perfect knowledge of the seating plan and the layout of our best tables.
Make sure you have enough wifi cards for our customers.
Cloakroom clean and tidy, ready to work.
Reception candles changed and lit.
During service:
Welcoming customers in a warm and smiling manner, taking the cloakroom and leading the customer to the table, pulling out the chair and wishing them a pleasant meal.
Remember the faces of the customers with the table for the jackets at the start.
When everyone has arrived, the host/hostess helps to straighten up the restaurant as far as possible with the wait staff, while ensuring that customers leave, greeting them at reception and giving them their coats back.
To ensure quality service, the host/hostess must :
Be perfectly familiar with the style of cuisine.
Pass on all information concerning customer comments to the restaurant manager.
Anticipate every customer request
Be able to welcome and seat a customer according to the reservation plan and make last-minute changes.
Be capable of clearing a customer from the cloakroom and returning it to them when they leave.
Demonstrate interpersonal skills to build customer loyalty
Welcoming and serving customers in accordance with the hospitality principles of a 5-star hotel, respecting the expectations of the Mandarin Oriental and Swiss Deluxe Group.
Handle customer complaints in accordance with the LQE procedure and refer complaints and all customer observations to management.
To adhere to and apply the Mandarin Oriental principles set out in ‘Our Commitments’.
Job Requirements:
Experience in catering and hospitality
Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar position
Preferably initial experience in the luxury hotel sector
Fluent in English and French
Team player
Excellent presentation and hospitality skills
Outgoing and enjoy customer contact
