    About the job

    The Duty Engineer is responsible for supervising, supporting and assisting the supervisors and all technicians, ensures that all work performed is in accordance with specification.

    Prepares the daily engineering reports, inspects all engineering/mechanical fittings on a regular basis and ensures that daily logs of plant/utility meter readings are made.

    The Duty Engineer will be Service Orientated and flexible enough to support both the Guest and in-house Colleagues needs alike.     The Duty Engineer reports to the Maintenance Manager/Assistant Chief Engineer.

    As HT Station Technician, you will be responsible for the following duties:

  • To execute all works assigned in accordance with the guideline and policies and procedures, especially in relation to fire and life safety.
  • To execute preventive maintenance and repair in accordance with the guideline by engineer and manufacturer's recommendations.
  • To perform emergency duties as per outlined under emergency procedure.
  • To be familiar with all the electrical power distribution and lighting systems, its operating requirement and characteristics, so as to operate in strict compliance with requirement.
  • To attend on the job training.
  • To attend to guest request and complaints promptly and efficiently to avoid inconvenience or discomfort.
  • To practice and make recommendations to engineer on energy conservation improvement.
  • To perform all other duties as may be assigned by Director of Engineer, Asst. Chief Engineer.
  • To assist the other trades where is requested.
  • To inspect all mechanical systems and make operation status records as per inspection list. To correct and report operation deficiency, unusual events and safety hazards conditions to engineer. To constantly assess the preventive maintenance schedule, method of maintenance, to ensure that equipment longevity, avoidance of repairs and down time, ease of operation and efficiency are all being maximized pursuant to manufacturing recommendations.
  • To maintain tools and equipment properly and keep the workplace cleans and tidy.
  • To perform shift and overtime duties when necessary.
  • To coordinate with property and electrical bureau for power switching and annual inspection and instruments calibration.
  • To monitor preventive maintenance works done by elevator/escalator contractors.
  • As HT Station Technician, we expect from you: 

  • Possess valid electrician work license
  • Minimum 1-2 years of relevant working experience with similar position
  • Operational experience from other hotel divisions or similar industry desirable

  • Shift work is required
  • Good communication skills
