    Our Hotel

    With 326 guest rooms and 31 suites, Mandarin Oriental, Miami is in Brickell Key and is a prime location for both business and leisure guests.  It is an urban resort with Miami’s only private beach.

    Overview of Position

    • Greet guests warmly and by name, escort guests to their table, provide chair assistance for all guests, and menu presentation
    • Maintain and monitor reservation system and floor plan to ensure turning table efficiency.
    • Assist restaurant colleagues in providing copies menus as requested by the Restaurant Managers.
    • Assist guest and colleagues courteously and efficiently.
    • Suggest wines and beverages to compliment guest meals.
    • Host large parties when scheduled
    • Ensure restaurant ambiance is appropriate, including music, temperature, lighting.
    • Confirm reservations and answer daily email inquiries in timely manner.
    • Handle reservations and prepayment for special events, holiday brunches, wine dinner, cooking classes, etc.
    • Coordinate set menus for all groups and distribute copies of the event form accordingly.
    • Share information of all upcoming events with the Concierge Team.
    • Keep reservation books up to company standard.
    • Check on a daily basis for our regular guest preferences and record them in our daily list for the service.

    Requirements

    • Have a minimum of 1-year experience in similar position in a luxury hotel property.
    • Have excellent communication and organization skills.
    • Reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language.
    • Willing to work a flexible schedule and holidays.
    • Be a self-motivator and motivator of others.
    • Must be able to work in a high-pace and dynamic operation. 
    • Able to work together with other colleagues.
    • Have a pleasant, friendly and helpful manner.
    • Maintain a clean and healthy personal hygiene and grooming.
    • Work in a safe, prudent and organized manner.
    • Able to handle multiple tasks at one time.
    • Able to consistently delight and satisfy our guest
    • Able to handle guest requests in a detailed manner
