About the job

Based at the Mandarin Oriental, Boston within the In-Room Dining Department in Boston, Massachusetts, the Mini Bar Attendant is responsible for maintaining the in-room mini bars to the highest standards. The Mini Bar Attendant reports to the In-Room Dining Manager.

As Mini Bar Attendant, you will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Restock daily all mini bar items inside the guest rooms
  • Deliver requested items to the guest within the quoted time
  • Assist guest courteously and efficiently, provide service to accommodate any guest requests
  • Ensure that all glassware is in excellent condition
  • Assist with proper ordering and storing of all incoming food and beverages products
  • Ensure the mini bar is clean, well-organized, and visually appealing to guests
  • Track guest consumption accurately for billing purposes
  • Monitor product quality, check expiration dates, and remove expired items
  • Assist with daily set-up of the In-Room Dining department
  • Utilize POS system
  • Adhere to opening and closing duties and side work sheet
  • Attend daily communication meeting and monthly department meeting
  • Other duties as assigned by management

As Mini Bar Attendant, we expect from you:

  • A minimum of two years’ experience in a similar position in a luxury hotel property
  • Reading, writing, and oral proficiency in the English language
  • Willing to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
  • Able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic operation
  • Ability to walk and stand for the majority of shift. Ability to regularly lift, push, and pull up to 40 pounds

Compensation

The hourly rate of pay for this position is $28.99.
