About the job

Based at the Mandarin Oriental, Munich the Night Manager is responsible for smooth operations during the night. The Night Manager reports to the Front Office Manager.

As Night Manager, you will responsible for the following duties:

  • ensuring smooth night operations
  • creating memorable arrival and departure experiences for our guests
  • Responsible for the success of the night shift, in line with the guidelines set by the Front Office Manager
  • be the first point of contact in terms of guest relations and services for house guests and non-residents
  • maintaining high data quality levels
  • daily control of accounting tasks of Front Office operations
  • Execution of all Front Office functions, depending on operational requirements
  • Ensuring the safety and security of all guests and colleagues during the night shift
  • Handling guest complaints and concerns with tact and professionalism

As Night Manager, we expect from you:

  • completed vocational training in hotel industry or a comparable qualification
  • A minimum of two years professional experience in Front Office Operations,, ideally including experience in night shifts
  • Familiar with Front Office related IT&T systems
  • Very good command of German and English, both spoken and written; additional language skills are an advantage
  • Strong service orientation and a high level of hospitality
  • Ability to work under pressure and flexibility, even in stressful situations
  • Very strong organizational skills and a structured working style
