About the job

Based at the Mandarin Oriental Downtown, Dubai within the People & Culture Department in Dubai, the People & Culture Executive is responsible to support People & Culture operations—from colleague lifecycle processes and internal communications to engagement activities and administrative excellence—helping lay the foundation for a vibrant and people-focused hotel culture. People & Culture Executive reports to the People & Culture Manager.

As a People & Culture Executive, you will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Provide administrative support across all People & Culture functions, ensuring accurate record-keeping, document management, and compliance with internal policies and legal standards.
  • Assist with the coordination of colleague lifecycle processes including onboarding, internal transfers, promotions, and exits, while maintaining up-to-date personnel files and HRMS data.
  • Support internal communications by designing posters, preparing handbooks and presentations, and maintaining engaging communication boards.
  • Coordinate logistical tasks such as supplies inventory, travel arrangements, and colleague facilities (e.g., locker rooms, colleague restaurant), ensuring a well-organised back-of-house environment.
  • Assist in organising and participating in colleague engagement initiatives such as social events and orientation programs, helping to build a positive workplace culture.
  • Act as a reliable and approachable point of contact for colleague inquiries, demonstrating empathy, professionalism, and discretion in all interactions.

As a People & Culture Executive, we expect from you: 

  • 2–3 years of experience in People & Culture within the hospitality industry, with strong knowledge of HR practices and procedures.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to engage effectively at all organisational levels.
  • Highly organised and adaptable, with proven ability to multitask in a fast-paced, high-demand environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Publisher.
  • Holds a degree or diploma in Human Resources Management (preferred).
  • Positive, growth-minded attitude with professionalism, empathy, discretion, and a strong sense of teamwork.
