About the job

Based at the Mandarin Oriental, Costa Navarino within the Security Department in Pylos, Messenia, Greece, the Pool Lifeguard is responsible for ensuring the safety of pool users by enforcing rules, maintaining cleanliness, conducting emergency checks, and responding to emergencies promptly while also reporting any safety hazards or defects. The Pool Lifeguard reports to the Lifeguard Supervisor.

As Pool Lifeguard, you will be responsible for the following duties:

• Enforces rules and regulations and handles public enquires & feedback.
• Maintains works and cleaning to prevent defects and rust.
• Ensures the first-aid and lifesaving equipment are in good working condition.
• Conducts emergency phone checking on regular basis.
• Reports potential safety and any defects of swimming pool facilities to the Engineering department.
• Ensures appropriate attire of the pool users and prevents hazard objects in the pool.
• Remains alert to emergency conditions and performs lifeguarding skills.

As Pool Lifeguard, we expect from you: 

• EU Passport or valid Residence Permit is mandatory in order to work in Greece.
• Certified by ENKA or similar.
• BLS Certified.
• CPR Certified.
• First Aid Certificate.
• Minimum of 1 years' experience in a similar position.
• Fluency in English and Greek.
